Why get your horse seen?

Many horses do not show any direct external sign that they have dental issues. It is often that problems are not identified until they are extremely severe or until an examination takes palce. Below is a list of signs to look our for which may indicate that your horse requires dental care. An examinatinoe very 6-12 months avoids missing the early stages of problems and sometimes before the horse begins to show signs.

  • Spitting out partially chewed food
  • Unsteadiness in rein contact
  • Rearing/ bucking
  • Head shaking and shyness
  • Foul breath
  • Slow to eat
  • Loss of condition
  • Facial sensitivity
